Chief Executive Officer
|Eric Morris has been CEO since the inception of The PAS Group in 2005 and has led nine of the Group’s acquisitions and the successful integration of the Group’s businesses. Eric has over 36 years’ industry experience having held senior executive positions in both major international and national companies.|
Eric was recruited to Australia by Myer where he held the inaugural position of General Manager of the Private Brand Division responsible for the creation and launch of a number of the successful Myer brands in the market today.
Prior to joining Myer, Eric spent 14 months at Walt Disney International as Regional Director, Softlines for Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong. Prior to this, Eric spent eight years with Reebok International where he held the position of Regional Director Asia Pacific (based in Hong Kong), Regional Director Africa Middle East and Director and General Manager Reebok South Africa.
Prior to joining Reebok International, Eric held various senior management positions and obtained significant experience covering retail, wholesale/supply, licensing, manufacturing and distribution.
Chief Operations Officer
|Peter Venter joined The PAS group in November 2017 as Chief Operations Officer. Peter has 32 years of retail industry experience across diverse retail formats with an emphasis on specialty fashion apparel and footwear.|
Peter’s career has covered general management roles across both hard and soft goods covering merchandise, planning, marketing, logistics, finance, production and strategy within a broad range of retail formats and vertical groups and disciplines both in Australia and internationally.
Before joining The PAS Group Peter held the position of COO at Jeanswest where he was responsible for Merchandise Planning, IT, logistics, E-commerce, Loyalty & International business. In Australia senior general management roles held have been at Anaconda, Target, PayLess shoes and The Warehouse Group, as well as various senior merchandise planning roles at David Jones and Katies. Peter has a strong merchant mentality and a deep interest and expertise in merchandise systems development, procedures and ecommerce and experience in driving organizational change.
Prior to moving to Australia in 1995 Peter held merchandise management positions at Woolworths and The Foschini Group in South Africa, as well as Management Accounting, Sales and Production Management roles at Pepkor and Kholer Packaging after completing 2 years’ military service.
Peter has a management accounting qualification from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (RSA).
General Manager, Digital & Marketing
|Anna is the GM for Digital, a multi-award-wining digital leader, with over 20 years of experience. |
She is responsible for the development of the company’s digital and loyalty strategies, digital transformation and customer-first experiences across the company’s omnichannel brands.
Anna is the GM for Digital and Loyalty for PAS Group, one of Australia’s leading fashion apparel groups, with over 20 years of experience. She is responsible for the development of the company’s digital and loyalty strategies, and establishing new strategic partnerships across the company’s omnichannel brands: Review, Black Pepper, Yarra Trail, Marco Polo and Everlast.
Anna is a passionate, driven leader whose expertise in implementing and managing digital solutions and initiatives has been a significant contribution in shaping the consumer’s experience while on the group’s digital platforms.
Anna’s digital strategy has successfully improved the PAS Group’s ability to personalise engagement with consumers through the deployment of marketing cloud technology, opening up a wealth of customer behavioural and activity data allowing its brands to better target customers, resulting in significant revenue growth as well as customer advocacy.
General Manager, Review
|Clare Hurley joined the PAS Group in January 2021 as General Manager of Review. Clare has held various senior retail positions, most recently as Head of Women’s National and Concession brands at Myer department stores. Having worked in the retail industry for over 15 years, Clare began her career as an assistant buyer and has since gained extensive brand management and product experience across all product types, specialising in Women’s apparel.|
Clare holds a Bachelor of Design (Fashion) from R.M.I.T and an MBA candidacy from Melbourne Business School.
General Manager, Black Pepper
|Rachel Digby joined Black Pepper in 2005 as Design Manager and has since successfully grown the Breakaway, Black Pepper, Yvonne Black and Equus brands and led the expansion of the retail channel for Black Pepper across Australia and New Zealand.|
Rachel’s early career commenced in South Africa as a Buyer for Edgars and she was then approached to join David Jones in 1998 as Womenswear Buyer across multiple categories where she was instrumental in developing the David Jones house brand program.
Rachel has extensive industry experience across both product and retail as well as a broad understanding of the mainstream Womenswear sector. In September 2013 Rachel was appointed to the role of General Manager of Black Pepper.
Divisional General Manager, Designworks
|Brooke Norton has been the Divisional General Manager of Designworks since October 2020. Joining the business in 2017, Brooke has been instrumental in driving outstanding results for her portfolio and has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment.|
Brooke’s career developed through various roles at Myer; from Store Management, National Operations, Fashion Buying, Business Strategy and General Management roles, she developed an end-to-end understanding of the retail industry, skills which she fine-tuned in Big Box, Specialist Omnichannel retail, Department Store Concessions, and Wholesale Sales roles.
With a focus on branding, strategy, innovation, and building incredible, super-charged teams, Brooke is committed to progressing culture by cultivating engagement and motivation across the business.
A leader passionate about transformation, Brooke and her team has led Designworks through turbulent times implementing growth and market acquisition strategies to position the business at the forefront of Fashion, Sport and Licensed apparel, footwear and underwear brands across Australia and New Zealand.
General Manager, Yarra Trail and Marco Polo
|Anthea Phelps has over 30 years of industry experience, having begun her career with Myer as a buyer for Sportswear. This was followed by roles at David Jones as a Group Fashion Adviser, Fashion Controller at Georges, and Wholesale Manager (NSW and QLD) for Country Road. In 1996 Anthea was recruited to develop the Womenswear range for Yarra Trail.|
After departing from Yarra Trail in 2004, Anthea was recruited as General Manager for Stitches and four years later commenced as General Manager for Sundays Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of the Voyager Group. In 2009 Anthea rejoined Yarra Trail as General Manager. In late 2012 the Marco Polo brand was added to Anthea’s portfolio.
General Manager, New Business
|Adam has over 25 years of experience in both retail operations and international branded business. Adam was most recently dual CEO of brands Tigerlily and Crumpler.|
Previous to this he worked for 8 years at Designworks, a division of PAS, in the role of General Manager – Product and Sales.
Earlier in his career, he held various management roles with international brands including Hugo Boss, Williamson-Dickies and Cambridge Clothing Company.
